When I met Greg
in 2003 one of the things we found in common was music, especially Tom Waits
and Ed Keupper. A while later I set off for Japan, as previously planned, not
sure if Greg and I would meet again. It's a long way from the Nullabor plain,
where we met, to Tokyo. The song "wish you were here" from Ed's album
Serene Machine was particularly poignant and I shed many (some sake induced)
tears in my tiny apartment. Then 6 months later my long haired love arrived
with a surfboard under his arm in a snowy Japanese January. And the rest you
know!
